YOUNG ADULTS
If you are between 14 and 24 years old and need assistance in finding employment, improving your academic skills, getting your High School Equivalency, or enrolling in college, we can provide you with customized services in these areas. Contact one of our Career Centers to find out if you're eligible.
Our Aim Higher Youth Workforce Program for young adults ages 16-24 is run out of Buffalo Employment and Training Center (BETC).

Veteran Priority of Service
Veteran priority of service is the right of veterans and their eligible spouses, including widows and widowers, to take priority over other persons in all qualified job training programs that are funded in whole or in part by the Department of Labor.
Trade Adjustment Assistance Program (TAA)
Did you lose your job due to foreign trade? Are you eligible for Trade Act benefits? We can help you navigate the complex rules and requirements of the Trade Act program. For more information, please call or visit one of our Career Centers or download the TAA Brochure.
SQUARE ONE : JUSTICE-IMPACTED WORKFORCE PROGRAM
The Square One Program provides vocational services designed to address barriers for those who are justice-impacted. Services are offered in the areas of Career Exploration, Employment Readiness, Job Search Assistance, and Job Training. This program is run out of Buffalo Employment and Training Center (BETC).
Supportive Services
You may be eligible for supportive services, such as assistance with housing, food, transportation, or childcare. In addition, if English is not your primary language, you may be eligible for English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Talk to one of our Career Center counselors concerning the resources that may be available to support your job search or training efforts.
Erie County HealthCare Careers Grant (ECHC)
The Erie County Healthcare Careers Program (ECHC) offers training for healthcare occupations that are in high demand. Funded by Erie County, the program partners with local schools such as Erie 1 BOCES, SUNY Erie, Trocaire College, D’Youville College, Villa Maria College and SUNY Buffalo to provide training for occupations such as LPN, RN, Surgical Technologist, Respiratory Therapist, and Physical Therapy Assistant.
