Finding out what you like to do and what kinds of things you're particularly good at is where career counseling and assessment begins. Our Career Counselors are experts at helping you determine how best to continually develop your talents and market your skills.

Together we review your education and previous work experience. Any strengths, talents or special interests you'd like to talk about? Tell us about them all, as well as any career aspirations. We 're great listeners too.

The first step toward the right career

Career planning and skills assessment services are designed to help you identify and pursue the right career direction.

Armed with skill assessments, an interest inventory and work related values assessment, you'll be able to answer an age-old interview question: "Tell me a little bit about yourself."

We'll help you create a personal profile and customized career plan that outlines your career goals and steps you need to accomplish them. Whatever your job skills, talents, or special interests, we make planning for rewarding career easy for you.

We leave no stone unturned

Our workshop on Career Planning enables you to better know yourself, but also to better understand employer expectations, labor market information, wage and salary information and career outlook to help make you an informed job seeker - and the most attractive job candidate.

Stake your claim to a career today!

Even in Buffalo, career opportunities abound! It's all a matter of knowing where - and how - to go about pursuing them. At the BETC, we specialize in successfully steering people into today's most promising positions.
